All That Mattered Was Marrying Bill

Erin and Bill’s wedding was the kind of day that stays with you—not because of the over-the-top details, but because of how it felt: full of warmth, laughter, and genuine joy. From the very beginning, they were focused on the heart of it all—marrying each other—and everything else was secondary.

Originally planned for Mission Hills Country Club, the wedding faced an unexpected hurdle just weeks before the big day when the venue was temporarily closed. Plans were quickly shifted to Kansas City Country Club, where Erin and Bill were warmly welcomed—and in a serendipitous twist, it also happened to be where they first met. But just before their wedding weekend, Mission Hills reopened, and the celebration returned to its original home. Through every pivot and change, Erin and Bill never wavered in their attitude. Their grace, flexibility, and kindness set the tone for the entire experience.

On the day itself, Erin’s joyful spirit lit up every room. She literally bounced through the halls with a smile, telling us, “All that matters is that I’m marrying Bill.” Surrounded by her sisters and closest friends, the atmosphere was light, loving, and completely focused on what mattered most.

The floral design by Blue Bouquet brought a soft, elevated beauty to the space. Known for her refined and intentional work, Blue Bouquet added just the right touch of romance without overpowering the natural charm of the venue. Everything felt cohesive, effortless, and authentically Erin and Bill.

One of the most special memories of the night happened on the dance floor, where the couple and their families broke into a spontaneous singalong of “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” With everyone swaying in a big circle, Erin’s mom and sisters dancing in the middle, and voices rising in harmony, it was a moment of pure, unfiltered joy—one of those rare scenes that captures the heart of a wedding far better than any timeline ever could.

Even with changes, weather threats, and last-minute logistics, Erin and Bill never lost sight of what truly mattered. Their wedding was tasteful, timeless, and completely centered on love. We were so honored to be part of their story—one that reminded us that when the focus is on marriage over perfection, the result is always beautiful.
