Some wedding days are unforgettable not because of a single detail—but because every detail, from start to finish, felt completely true to the couple. Melissa and Daniel’s celebration at Hotel Kansas City was exactly that. A seamless blend of elegance and modern flair—equal parts polished, personal, and overflowing with joy.
Beneath grand architecture and glowing candlelight, these two celebrated surrounded by their favorite people (and yes, even their golden retrievers walked the aisle in tuxedos). From a fashion-forward bridal look to a lush floral installation suspended above dinner, every element felt intentionally designed for a timeless yet joy-filled affair.
Ceremony & Style
The day began with Melissa slipping into a breathtaking multi-look: a romantic gown from Emily Hart Bridal featuring layers of texture and movement, followed by a sleek second look from Retrofête for dancing. Her glam, expertly executed by the teams at Posh KC and LV Hairdos, was effortless and elevated.
Daniel and his groomsmen looked impossibly polished in black tuxedos from Men’s Wearhouse, and the couple’s pups made their cutest red-carpet moment ever, dressed in doggy tuxes thanks to Katie’s Kennel.
The Reception: Romantic, Refined & Ready to Dance
Inside the rooftop space, Starlight Ballroom of Hotel Kansas City, guests were welcomed into a candlelit reception space glowing with romance. Blue Bouquet created the floral experience: lush white blooms, fresh foliage, and architectural branches. Their pièce de résistance? A spectacular installation with suspended lanterns and greenery above the long king’s tables.
Tables were dressed in textured linens, personalized menus, and stationery crafted by Sparkman Studio, tying every aesthetic thread together. Lighting and atmosphere were flawless, with custom marquee letters by Alpha-Lit KC, and the band Lost Wax raised the energy as sunset turned to evening.
