Several years ago I had the opportunity to work with Helzberg diamonds on it and amazing proposal campaign. During that time, I met Kaitlin, the social media guru behind the campaign. Fast forward a few years and I get an email from Kaitlin. She is engaged and looking for a planner! I was ecstatic. Kaitlin had a sophisticated, yet relaxed vision, perfect for Feasts of Fancy at The Hobbs Building.

Kaitlin and Cooper tied the knot last September and it could not have been a more beautiful fall day! The couple welcomed their friends and family to an intimate gathering set at Our Lady of Sorrows, where the couple exchanged vows. Later that evening, guests joined to celebrate the newlyweds at Feasts of Fancy at The Hobbs Building located in the historic West Bottoms of Kansas City. For their wedding, Kaitlin + Cooper chose a classic style with twist of boho chic. Mauve, navy, blush, green, and mixed metals of gold + rose gold made up the color palette. It was a match made in heaven for the rustic, elegant loft space at The Hobbs.

One of my favorite elements of any wedding are custom monograms and a cohesive stationery design. Kaitlin was a girl after my own heart – if it isn’t moving, stick a monogram on it! I created a custom monogram that carried throughout the entire wedding. From the invitation suite, to the day of paper details, cake topper, and even the koozies, little details like these stood out. These details perfectly set the tone for a cohesively designed event from start to finish.

I had the fortune of collaborating with Annie of Crossroad Calligraphy for the first time and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the custom calligraphy she created.  Her acrylic signage was absolutely fantastic!

Beautiful monograms, a fantastic bridal party and late light snacks consisting of K-State’s Call Hall ice cream and nachos. Kaitlin and Cooper’s wedding was one for the books and one that I will never forget.

And what a more perfect way to send off our bride and groom than a balloon exit off the stairway of The Hobbs and to end the night riding off in a vintage car!
