As a wedding planner, I am so humbled to have some of the greatest creatives that I have the opportunity to work alongside. Each person has incredible talents and gifts, which, when brought together leave me absolutely breathless. This apple orchard editorial shoots was one of those pinch me, is this really happening days. If you are looking for some soft, romantic wedding inspiration, look no further.
When Ashlie of Blue Bouquet reached out to me in early May with the idea to put together a styled shoot in the middle of Weston Red Barn Farm’s apple orchard, I must admit, while I loved the sound of it, I didn’t know if I could possibly add one more thing to my plate. Reluctantly, I told her no… but I am so glad that things have a way of working out and less than five days later were were working our way through a muddy apple orchard to create magic.
I have been following Elizabeth Ladean via Instagram for the past couple months and her photography style always leaves my jaw on the ground. I love how light, bright and airy her photographs are and I have been hoping for a day when I could have her capture my work.
In a whirlwind few days, Ashlie had pulled together some of the most gorgeous floral designs, I created some stationery and Elizabeth agreed to join us on a Wednesday morning in May. Weston Red Barn Farm’s apple orchard did not disappoint and was exactly how we envisioned this shoot to turn out. Ashlie brought in a gorgeous white farm table from UltraPom, Restoration Hardware chairs from her studio and an entire van filled with the most perfect of blooms. While I chased my son to and from the restrooms (we were mid-potty training and he didn’t have childcare), Ashlie and Elizabeth worked magic.
Words cannot describe the feelings I had when Elizabeth delivered a proof gallery not even 12 hours later. Pure bliss, romance and everything I dreamed of were wrapped into these beautiful images. I hope they provide the inspiration you are looking for in your romantic, Spring wedding.
